General RULEs OVERVIEW

DIVISIONS
Division III - Novice - < 2 years competitive experience
Division II - Juniors 3 years of 
competitive experience
Division I - Seniors >  4 years 
competitive experience

D III - Squad
Two - 3 minute Rounds - Matches 
Conducted on Wrestling Mat
No Kick’s
No Elbo’s
No Knee’s
No Striking


D II  - Squad
Three – 3 minute Rounds 
Conducted on Wrestling Mat
body strikes only / kicks below belt

Boxing on feet only  (Boxing Rules )
No points for Striking / Boxing strikes / No strikes to the head.
No Kick’s above waist
No Elbo’s
No Knee’s
Finger Gloves ( max weight )


D I - Squad
Three – 5 minute rounds / 1 minute break
Competition may be conducted in Cage or On regulation College Mat
Points for Striking (1 pt. per clean strike) Max 3 per round

Striking permitted on feet only 
Kicks permitted on feet only

            Body Kick above belt (1 pt.)
            Head Kick (2 pts.)

Finger Gloves (light weight)
Protective Headgear
No Ground & Pound
No Elbo’s

Upper class-men may compete on under class-men squads, but all members must compete under the rules
of the athlete representing the lowest skill level on the squad.

Takedowns – 2          Control
Throws – 3                
Lifts- 1           
Escape - 1

Submission / KO / TKO = Fall – Ends Bout.

Lift Defined - From a control position Take Opponent off his feet (2 feet) must change hold for additional points.
Throw Defined – From a Neutral position Take Opponent off his feet to Control on the mat
Going out of bounds (touching or crossing the 30 ft. Wrestling Circle -1 pt. to opponent
Cannot lock hands around waist from top control position -1pt. to opponent
Cannot stay in Guard Position more than 20 seconds – 1pt. to opponent – Back to Feet


TEAM SCORING

Team scoring using Modified - GS System / Individual Point Spread

Forfeit = 27 Points to opponent
KO / Submission = 25 pts.
TKO Point Spread – 20 pts.
